*The weights in each pan of the balance had increased greatly. As he approached his triumph, our foe had made himself vulnerable. We were unable to directly influence, and could only watch and wait. To see whether his pridefully chosen pawn would prove his undoing.* --Book of Stone. *Inspired by TDP.*

Kythorn 14, 1491 DR- I was going to pay Lord Trayn and his painting collection a visit, but the Drowned Rat Thieves Guild beat me to the score. The word is they hadn't divvied the booty yet. Apparently, their leaders are arguing over the prized emerald-framed painting. It sounds like they could use a third party to settle their dispute. Since I'm no mediator, I'll just steal the painting from them. They'll be so busy blaming each other, no one will suspect an outsider.

Kythorn 21, 1491 DR- The Rats run a gambling den called the Jeweled Hog. Which operates under a nearby restaurant. The guilds hideout is beneath the casino. I have a rough map of the complex I got from sources on the inside. Once im in the Jeweled Hog, I'll have to search for the secret entrance to the hideout.

Kythorn 22, 1491 DR - I'll have to be careful; the Rats know me all too well. If they catch sight of me, they'll know who took the Emerald painting. Assuming they just don't kill me for trespassing. Finding the painting could prove difficult since I have no idea where it is. Should be a hot topic of conversation among the Rats. Maybe I'll be lucky enough to overhear where they are stashing it. Time to make a living.

Kythorn 24, 1491 DR - I went to my fence's place after the Lord Trayn job and securing the painting. But he wasn't there. He had been arrested by the Flaming Fist. I doubt they approved of his occupation, and I doubt they would approve of mine. So hopefully they will never catch sight of me when I break him out of their prison. Which is what I'm going to do.

Flamerule 13, 1491 DR - They're holding him in a mining complex carved out of a quarry. The quarrys flooded, but the Fists still work the top-level mines and have converted part of the complex into a penitentiary for those who violate their laws. An associate of mine was confined there and has provided me with a map. It would be difficult to get in by way of the main gate, but there is another option.

Flamerule 16, 1491 DR - The mines break the surface of a hill east of the quarry. I'll drop into the mines and head to the prison, which will be found somewhere uphill to the north. The Fists do not venture into those lower mines because they are reputed to be haunted. Shouldn't be a problem for me. I'd rather not have to do this job, but the fence is reliable, and I don't appreciate the Fists abucting him, and... he owes me money for the Trayn job.

Flamerule 28, 1491 DR - I was contacted about a job for a dwarf. Seemed to be one of those rich types. Im a little light on coin after springing my fence from the prison while he lays low from the Flaming Fist and rents due. Not like I have a whole lot of choice, really. My landlord is tougher than the guard.

Eleasis 05, 1491 DR - The map I have is pretty direct. There is a fighting ring under a tavern, and I'm a betting man that there will be plenty of coin there. With so many people, I'll need a distraction if I'm going to get in and out with the coin without being noticed. Hmm... Maybe its time I used the Flaming Fist to my advantage. Im sure a few dozen crashing the party below the tavern will do me just fine while I grab what I can. Pay off my debts and skip town for a while before those same Fists start sniffing at my door.

Finding an exit from the surrounding lands while things die down will be tricky. I could always hide in Helm's Hold for now. But I've been in more sticky situations. This is just icing on the cake.
